Over the course of the event, you’ll be able to find Phonexa in the exhibit hall at Booth #427. We also welcome you to come say hello at Tuesday afternoon’s luncheon where Phonexa is a presenting sponsor. Of course, if you want to schedule some time to meet up one-on-one we certainly encourage you to do so here.
We can’t wait to share how Phonexa’s features, such as real-time reporting and Interactive Voice Response can help insurance professionals optimize their business.
InsureTech Connect will be held at the renowned MGM Grand Las Vegas. It’s a hotel so impressive we thought it would be fun to share seven surprising facts about our host venue:
1. A City unto Itself
An estimated 70,000 people—roughly the population of Rapid City, South Dakota—pass through the MGM Grand every day.
2. We Sheets You Not
The MGM Hotel staff washes 92,000 pounds (or 46 tons) of linens every day.
3. Kings of the Jungle
The MGM Grand used to have over twenty lions on its premises located in a lion habitat which was open from 1999 to 2012. Trainers would feed and play with the mighty beasts as spectators watched from afar. The jungle cats have all since retired to a conservation ranch outside of town.
4. Imagine the Vacuuming Time
The gaming floor is the largest in Las Vegas and covers over 170,000 square feet—roughly the size of three football fields.
5. Secret Luxury
Hidden from most guests sits The Mansion, a Tuscan Villa-inspired residence for high-rollers. Each room at The Mansion comes with a limousine service and a butler, while some rooms have their own private swimming pools.
6. Behold Leo
In front of the MGM Grand sits Leo, a 45-foot tall bronze sculpture. Leo weighs 50 tons, making him the largest bronze sculpture in the United States.
7. Get Your Move On
The original MGM Grand Hotel opened in 1973 in the building that Bally’s now occupies. It was a true novelty when it opened, bringing a classic Hollywood glamor that the Vegas Strip had not yet seen. Dean Martin performed there regularly. It moved to its current location in 1985.
