Understanding SMS Opt-Out Keywords Phonexa automatically detects and processes incoming messages, recognizing English-language stop words. Stop words include specific terms like STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE, indicating that an individual no longer desires to receive messages from your service. Once Phonexa identifies a stop word, the associated phone number is added to the opt-out list, preventing further message transmissions to that number. Account-Level Opt-Outs Explained By default, opt-outs occur at the account level upon registration. This means any subsequent messages from any numbers associated with your account, regardless of messaging profile, won’t be sent to numbers on the opt-out list. Messaging Profile-Level Opt-Outs Alternatively, opt-outs can be configured at the messaging profile level. Phonexa does not support opt-outs at the number level. Should your scenario necessitate messaging profile-level opt-outs, please contact support with your specific use case details and sample message content. Implications of Messaging Profile Opt-Outs Consider two messaging profiles, X and Y: Profile X includes numbers 1-222-222-2222 & 1-333-333-3333. Profile Y encompasses number 1-444-444-4444. If a recipient of messages from Profile X opts out by replying STOP, all numbers associated with Profile X, including 1-222-222-2222 & 1-333-333-3333, are barred from texting the opt-out recipient further. However, Profile Y’s number, 1-444-444-4444, remains unaffected. Upcoming Feature: Opt-Out List Retrieval Soon, you’ll be able to access a comprehensive list of phone numbers on the opt-out list.
