The Magic of Mobile Marketing

In a recent article, we highlighted a handful of mobile marketing strategies that could increase your business.

We’re now focusing on some mobile marketing statistics. We love our phones. We have them with us every second of every day because we can’t live without them.

In fact, nearly half of all phone owners have “slept with their phone next to their bed because they wanted to make sure they didn’t miss any notifications during the night.”

In addition, 29% of phone owners also describe their cell phone as “something they can’t imagine living without.” If you’re surprised at those numbers, just think about the last time you forgot your phone somewhere and how anxious you felt for the rest of the day.

So, is mobile marketing essential for your business? The numbers suggest so!

The cellphone has evolved over the past few years. The smartphone, as it’s now called, is capable of so much more than just making phone calls. It’s used for sending personal and business e-mails, text messaging, taking pictures and video, listening to music, social networking, and games. It’s in the hands of every business owner and teenager alike. Pew Research Center estimated in December 2014 that text messaging was the most popular feature of the smartphone, ahead of searching the internet and e-mail.

We know that people are using their phones in more ways than one, and that’s important to take note of, especially if you’re a business owner. This also means it’s crucial that you take these statistics and numbers into consideration. The fact that over a quarter of adults can’t live without their phones sheds light onto the dominance of mobile devices.

It’s important for marketers not to think of this as mobile versus desktop. This isn’t an “or,” but rather an “and” situation. In other words, you must embrace mobile and incorporate it into your marketing efforts, because you simply can’t do without the opportunities that mobile presents.

Phonexa is designed around the idea that consumers are connecting with businesses at record rates. The analysis that Phonexa provides business owners allows them insight that they normally wouldn’t receive if they aren’t measuring their mobile traffic.

So, when thinking of mobile marketing strategies, think about what you’re currently doing in the mobile space. If your consumers are on their mobile devices, it’s time you joined them.
